Paul wrote of His (Jesus’) marks in Galatians 6:17— “From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body." The law was not given for man to keep in order to be perfect/godly (be like God) by. That doctrine that is reflected in your question is the same one that Satan sold to Eve in Eden: dependence on human effort for the attainment of godliness (to be like God) and through the use of the law which gives the knowledge of good and evil.
