Only Jesus never fails.

Believer, have you been let down or betrayed by someone you trust lately, even situations akin to Joseph's brothers selling him into slavery or the cup-bearer forgetting him in prison or Potiphar's wife bearing false witness against him? BY GOD'S GRACE ALONE (so tell Him alone about it) don't fret or wonder "how could they do this to me?" This is human nature: very fickle and sometimes not by choice. Sometimes, people forget; or they get too embarrased to tell you that they don't have the power to do whatever it is you've asked or begged them to. At other times, people are just plain mean and really want to see you fail for whatever reason. Like Peter who said and absolutely knew that he would not deny Jesus but went on to do so three times and with cursing and swearing, people sometimes make promises that they, with all of their heart, intend to keep, but they end up disappointing you or vice versa. Anyone of us could be at the receiving or g...

No implementation of "Seven Steps" in Christ!

Believers, the gospel of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is not at all like motivational seminars where we hear a speaker and have to go back home to apply his "Seven Steps to Success" in order to obtain results. It is not at all about PERFORMING or DOING. Our Abba Father blesses us via HEARING. See this in Galatians 3:5-  "Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—" No works to do. No "Seven Steps" to follow. God is healing, blessing, saving, simply by our HEARING about the love of Christ in whom we have forgiveness of sins and everlasting righteousness apart from works. As Christ is being unveiled, repentance (a change of mind towards God) is taking place. And the Spirit is flowing, transforming the hearer to the image of the Lord's glory, from glory to glory. See 2 Corinthians 3:18. In Christ, God blesses us not by our puny efforts at k...

Samson's hair - a picture of God's gift of righteousness to all who are in Christ.

In life today, especially in the church, we have Premier League-like tables of righteousness where believers in Crystal Palace are seen as "core sinners" and condemned for not playing well enough and only the pastors and leaders SEEM TO play for Manchester City! This league table is a picture of man's ability to do good and avoid sinning (keep the law) but the truth is no one can be made righteous in the sight of God by scoring goals on this table (keeping the law.) No matter how many goals one scores, it can win no trophies. See Galatians 3:11 - "But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident,..." Also Romans 3:20- "For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." May the Lord open our eyes to see His Truth! Telling people that it is their ability to stop sinning and how well they keep the law that makes them righteous or saved is like Samson thi...

The woman with the issue of blood: a picture of the church.

Believers, remember the story of woman with the issue of blood who was healed by Jesus on His way to Jairus' house where He raised Jairus' daughter from the dead? This picture tells the story of our salvation in Christ today. Christ's going to Jairus' house where He raised the dead girl to life is a picture of His approaching return to raise the nation of Israel who are still "dead in trespasses" to life- as a nation, they do not yet believe that He is the Messiah. On His way to Jairus' house, He encountered and healed the woman with the issue of blood - a picture of Christ saving, healing and cleansing the church and making it able to bear fruit before Israel's salvation. This is smack where we are today! Like the woman whose bleeding made it impossible for her to bear offspring, many in the church today are not bearing fruit to life but fruit to death; these include the proliferation of acts of sin, condemnation, fear, stress, disease, lack, pov...

Why Christ was crucified and not stoned to death

For most capital offenses under Jewish law, stoning was the mode of execution, not crucifixion. Under Mosaic (Jewish) law, "anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse" (See Deut. 21:22-23. ) Christ's hanging on the tree (cross) for you and I was no accident or just happenstance. It was to redeem us from every curse, including generational curses. He took the curse of the law that should fall on us upon Himself to redeem us from every curse. One has to be perfectly sinless in order to escape the curse of the law if one's righteousness is via obedience to the law; but no one can ever attain righteousness before God by doing what the law commands (Romans 3:20.) God saw how hopeless our case was so He gave His own Son to become a curse for us, because He loved us so. The generational and other curses that we were fated to bear, Christ became for us, as it is written in Galatians 3:13- "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having becom...

What is the knowledge of good and evil?

Believers, see Genesis 2:17- "but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” God made this tree and told Adam not to eat of it or else he would surely die in the day that he ate. Many of us have wondered at the stupidity of Adam and Eve, even told ourselves that we would have been obedient if we were the ones that were first created. Plus, the Tree of Life was right there in the garden. Why didn't they eat of that one instead?... until we realise that many among us are still eating from this tree of the knowledge of good and evil and shunning the Tree of Life! But how can one eat of this tree today, since we seemingly no longer have access to it? How is it possible to disobey God the way Adam and Eve did, even to the point of choosing the tree that kills over the Tree of Life? Believers, it is by trying to be godly (be like God) by human effort aka feeding from the law which give the kn...

No need to sow seed to experience God's miracles!

Believers, do you have a bad prognosis from your doctor and your medication seems to be doing no good? Are you doing so much yet getting little to no results? Are you depressed? Are you held down by acts of sin that just won't let go no matter how hard you try to stop? Then there is Good News for you! The world says you have to do certain things by your own power - fast, sow seeds, be nice to kids so you can be blessed with yours, keep the law, etc - before you can experience God's miracles - all additional burdens on the heavy-laden! But God's word says differently for we who are in Christ! See Galatians 3:5- "Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— " See the NLT version: "I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about C...
