What is the meaning of Proverbs 11:22 - “As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman who is without discretion.”

“As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman who is without discretion.”  Proverbs 11:22. Christ teaches us to read the Scriptures (Old Testament) through the lens of Grace (Christ Himself) and His finished work of our salvation -  What's the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament?   Proverbs 11:22 is all about Jesus Christ and our utter need for His salvation from sin and death. From the verse, we see that this gold ring (person) who is so lacking in moral character is under the control of a pig (something unclean.) It is subject to whatever the pig does. The gold ring cannot save itself from its situation. It is subject to every whim of the unclean pig. In fact, getting itself attached to the pig's snout in the first place is beyond the ring's power. The vagaries of Time and Chance put it there and it probably hates itself for being in such a horrible position where all it can do is wallow in the mud of sins, even if it is an occasion

Who are the liars in Revelation 21:8?

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8. In God's reckoning,  “liars"  and doers of all the sins in this verse refer to anyone who does not have the Lord Jesus Christ as his utter Source of righteousness and strength. We know this from Romans 5:9 which tells us how God sees all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ - "And there is still much more to say of His unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God." Only the blood of Jesus suffices for God to declare any righteous. In Him, God sees us as righteous, " even though we are guilty of many sins"- "And the result of God

Is sin the reason that we can't walk and talk with God on Earth?

Short answer:  It depends on who “we” refers to. Acts of sin cannot separate a believer in Christ from God. Trying to keep the law in order to be right with God is how this happens: “For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's Grace.”  Galatians 5:4. For the sinner who knows that he is utterly powerless to free himself from his sins but looks utterly to Christ for salvation from those same sins, those acts of sin are our qualification for Christ's eternal salvation. He saves us from them all. Saviour from sins is His job description: “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”  Matthew 1:21. Looooooooong answer:) Recall the Bible verse:  "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" This verse from Amos is often misinterpreted to mean:  "How can you walk with God when you have sins?"
