Christ is the narrow road that leads to life. But what is the broad road that leads to destruction?

Believers, when Jesus said in Matthew 7:13- “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." - He was talking to Jews who were all about obeying the law of Moses and saw even the well-behaved and honest among the Gentiles as unclean. These were highly religious people who wanted to "enter." These were not people who took the issue of sin lightly. Like many who profess Christ today, the way to enter that seemed right to them was through the law of Moses that they religiously tried to obey in order to attain righteousness. When they were given the message of Christ (Righteousness by faith and not by works,) many of them rejected it because the message of Christ says in Romans 3: "and He makes sinners right in His sight when they believe in Jesus. 27 Can we boast, then, that we have done

The one thing

Just one thing is important for the Christian to know: having and calling Christ by His name by which He is called today: “THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS,” as prophesied by Jeremiah (23:6.) Every other bible knowledge is pointless, even dangerous, for the one who professes Christ but does not have Christ as his righteousness. With Christ as our righteousness, all of the things that we need are added to us. See the word of Christ Himself in Matthew 6: 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” When one seeks first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, everything else is added. But understand what these two things that we are to seek mean. They have nothing to do with obeying the Ten Commandments in or

Beware of "If you are the Son of God..." teachers.

Believer, Christ did not come to point out your sins and shortcomings, tell you how bad you are, demand righteousness from you (we have none of ours,) or condemn you because you sinned or don't have it all together. He came to save you from your sins, make you righteous by His blood and that you might have the gift of eternal life. Only believe. The most popular bible verse tells us: "16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life." See the very next verse: "17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him." This is our Saviour Jesus Christ Himself speaking. Matthew 1:21 says of Him:

Reading the word

The first time I gave my younger son a banana to eat by himself, he tried to eat it with the skin intact. I showed him how to peel off the inedible skin and get to the real food within. What does this have to do with anything? The original language of the Old Testament is mainly Biblical Hebrew. The New Testament, Greek. Today, the bible has been translated into several languages. The English Language translation has several versions: KJV, NKJV, MSG, AMP, NASB, NIV, RSV, YLT, NLT, TPT and so on. Some people won't read any other version but KJV. Me, I was a New King James Version girl for a long, long time and wouldn't read any other😊 But different versions feature same verses that have different words that mean different things literally! For instance, Isaiah's prophecy about the suffering of Christ for our sake in Isaiah 53 (KJV.) Verse 4 says of our Lord Jesus Christ: "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:.." Anyone that rea

Christ has disarmed the Accuser in the life of the believer

One day, before God opened my eyes to His Grace (Christ Himself,) I was listening to a taped message from a church that my family and I followed as I drove to work. At a point the preacher went: “There is someone here. It is your own father that is at the root of your problems." Not his exact words but this was the gist of what was said. I wasn't aware that I had any "problems" like that but I still showed some respect for the message and the preacher by heaving a sigh of relief: my dad fell asleep in Christ years ago so this "someone here" with an evil dad that was at the root of her issues couldn't possibly be me:) I had barely finished formulating this thought in my mind, at ease because I couldn't possibly be this "someone here," when I heard the very next words proceeding from the CD: "Unfortunately the man is dead." Whaaaat???!! Was he talking about me, especially as I just had that thought about my own dad

See Christ our Ark in the story of Noah.

Believers, as the righteousness of God in Christ, having Christ as our righteousness and none of ours from the law, God sees us as righteous through and through. Now this doesn’t mean that we are perfect in deeds; we will fall and fail sometimes, but remember when Noah and his family were in the ark? No matter how many times they stumbled or fell as a result of the flood and winds raging outside, they always fell and got back up INSIDE the ark, never OUTSIDE. Not a single person was cast out of the ark and into the flood with the condemned for whatever reason; and after the flood subsided, all who put their trust in the Lord were saved. Today, we are in Christ Jesus, the real Ark of God. Like Noah, we didn’t just decide to seek salvation in our Ark that is Christ. God drew us as He drew Noah. Christ says in John 6:44- “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him [giving him the desire to come to Me]; and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.” S

"For God so loved the world......" What about homosexuals, fornicators and liars?

Believers, let's not help Satan the Accuser do his work of pointing out sins in order to condemn the sinner and bring such to judgment. God hates sin but loves the sinner. He hates sin because it destroys the world that He so loved. So He sent His own Son to save us from our sins. See Matt. 1:21-  "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Satan accuses or points out sins/law-breaking using the law and tries to bring the sinner under condemnation so that judgment can follow....which is what those who go about bashing those that they see as "core sinners," aka homosexuals, fornicators, etc with Leviticus 20 are doing. No Christ saving from sins in their own equation, but Christ came to save such from their sins too. . These beloved of God are a part of the world that God so loved too. Christ came to save us and them! True, some flaunt their sins and expect sin to be accepted as being okay. Such a
