The Holy Communion - The Tree of Life

How do you partake of the Holy Communion in an unworthy manner and eat and drink judgment to yourself? Definitely not by partaking when you're not 'righteous' as is being preached in many churches today! 1 Corinthians 11: 29 says it's by "...not discerning the Lord's body." "27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep." Notice that eating and drinking in an unworthy manner is by "not discerning the Lord's body" and not because you committed some sin before partaking. No one is worthy except the Lamb of God. With Christ as our righteousness and forsaking tha

Imagine Peter calling for his pastor as he was sinking!

Sometimes, just as Peter did as he walked (on water) towards our Saviour Jesus, we take our eyes off Him, focus on our problems, and they loom larger... and then we begin to feel like we're sinking! No believer on earth is immune to this, even the one who is blessed with the greatest faith. Thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ who is with us in trouble (and always,) delivers us and honours us. Don't feel that you are alone in this sinking feeling. NEVER feel like Christ is doing SMH at you at these times of weakness. His strength is made perfect in weakness. He will save you, as He saved sinking Peter. We often think "If this obstacle was not there, I would be able to do this and that." Let's understand that our ability to walk on water does not depend on the condition of the sea. Whether the sea is stormy or calm, we cannot of ourselves walk on water. Whether our situation is easy or hard, we can do nothing without Christ. It all depends on us keeping our eye

Generational curses: Who do they affect?

Are generational curses still operational in the world today, even in the lives of some who profess Christ? Definitely! Everyone who is under the Law (those who believe that their right-standing with God or their ability to enjoy His blessings depends what they do or don't do and not what Christ has done) is subject to generational curses and every other curse that is attached to disobedience to the Law. See God's word concerning this in Numbers 14:18 - ‘The Lord is slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generations.’ This is God's word according to the Old Covenant (the Law) and it will not return to Him void. He will punish every sin to the uttermost, even to the third and fourth generations. No wonder doctors say certain people are likely to have certain diseases because their parents or grandpare

In Christ, you are free from generational and all other curses

Believers, please run far away from any church or preacher that tells you things like "your great-grandfather's goat that killed his neighbour's chicken is the reason why you cannot conceive." In essence, churches where it is preached that a believer in Christ is still subject to generational or other curses. They are preaching the Law which DID NOT come through Christ and which kills. With Christ as our righteousness, saved by grace through faith and forsaking our own righteousnesses which come from works of the Law, every curse is broken. Under Law is where the curse remains. In Christ, we are not under law but under grace. There is no curse, generational or otherwise, on we who are in Christ; we who have Him as our Righteousness. But the one who believes that it is his law-keeping and good works that makes Him right with God is under law and thus subject to the curse. The curse of the Law, including generational curses, is on those who are under Law and not un

Believe Jesus, not man

Believe Christ's word because He said it. When your pastor tells you anything, ask our Lord to reveal the truth to you. He will. Ask Him for your own revelation, specially prepared for you. You are His beloved. With Christ, God gives us all things freely.

Watch what your pastor is feeding you! Is it Law or Grace?

Believers, by God's grace, watch what your pastor is feeding you. Is it "works of the law" or the "hearing of faith?" The bible says the Law is not of faith: "Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them." Galatians 3:12. We cannot please God without faith: "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6. Diligently seeking God is not "keeping the Law in order to see His face" because "the Law is not of faith " and without faith it is impossible to please God. Here we see that keeping the Law to get right with God is being FAITHLESS. Christ said "Your faith has made you whole." He never said "Your fasts, donations and law-keeping have made you whole." Faith comes by hearing (faith is not something you "muster up"): "So then

"....when I see the blood I will pass over you;" NOT "when I see your works"

"…And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." Exodus 12:13. "...when I see the blood..." and not "when I see your law-keeping, fasts, seeds and good works." Wonderful as these things are, they can neither save nor help one escape the judgment that comes with breaking the Law, "For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." Romans 3:20. Those who keep the Law to get right with God have no idea how much God hates sin, so much that if you stumble at just one point of the Law you are guilty of all! James 2:10. Can you imagine someone offering you a glass of clear, cold water with just a tiny amount of his poop in it? Would you drink it? This does not even compare to the abomination that one commits whenever he expects God to help or bless him because he "kept the Law," fas

The strength of sin is the Law...

Believers, the Law tell us what is good from what is evil. Romans 3:20 says "...for by the law is the knowledge of sin." By it we have the knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil...and they died. They didn't just eat the evil part of the tree. They ate the good too. This tree is a picture of the Law, where the good things done by people who live by it can kill just as fast as the evil. "The letter kills." The devil knows it and uses people’s obedience to the Law to steal, kill and destroy, even believers!  But how can doing a good thing like keeping the Ten Commandments be deadly? It is because the Law condemns everyone who tries to be made righteous by it. Romans 3:20 says " For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." Those who try to keep the Law to get right with God reject the gift of righteousness that is given to u
