"The rich man may have to ransom his life, but a poor man gets no threats." Proverbs 13:8

Believers, remember what our Lord Jesus did as He walked with the two despondent disciples (Cleopas and his companion) on the road to Emmaus on the day of His ressurection- “And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself." Luke 24:27. The New Testament has not been written at the time. As believers, the way to read the Scriptures (Old Testament) is by expounding in ALL the Scriptures the things concerning Christ. Now consider Proverbs 13:8- "The rich man may have to ransom his life, but a poor man gets no threats." "Rich" here is not limited to material wealth. It can be in the form of any capital, "good opinion from God" or spiritual wealth that a person who professes Christ (Grace-personified) but is still trying to be righteous through the Law aka "neither cold nor hot" thinks he has accumulated in heaven from his obedience to the Law and "doing

No such thing as generational or other curse in the life of believers in Christ.

Beloved  of God, God's word says in Galatians 3:13- "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)," Beware of Satan's mouthpieces behind pulpits who profess Christ but invite churchgoers to come and fast for 70 days in order to be redeemed from generational and other curses that Christ has redeemed all who believe from- as if Christ's hanging on the cross means nothing! Believer, beware of such. This is what the antichrist spirit does - it tries to replace Christ's finished work with the seemingly good thing of human striving at attaining salvation and godliness aka being like God.  The spirit of the antichrist is not anti-God. It is antichrist.  Like the "holy holy" Pharisees, its carriers are against Christ and try to remove the focus of His people from His finished work of saving us. Like the antichrist Pharisees, they seem to be very r

In Christ, God the Just is satisfied to look on Christ and pardon you forever.

When payment is made to a creditor on your behalf, who must be satisfied? You or the creditor? The creditor of course! Believers, we were all debtors to God until He lovingly gave up His own Son as payment for ALL of our sins. He is fully satisfied with this payment. Every sin debt we owed - past, present and future - has been wiped away by Christ's " single sacrifice for sins,..." See Hebrews 10:12- " But our High Priest offered Himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then He sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand." The wages of sin is death. This death is a process- recall that Adam did not drop dead physically immediately after his death sentence came into effect. His spirit died but he lived (in toiling and sweating) for almost a thousand years - as one day in the sight of God. The point being - anxiety and depression are "death begun." Sickness is "death begun." Poverty is "death begun.

In Christ, you are God's beloved.

Believer, there is comfort in knowing that as Christ's sheep, we have His rod and His staff to comfort us ALWAYS, even when all seems to be going downhill and it looks like the lion (devourer) is nearby or already has us in its mouth.  Recall Emmaus road and how Christ taught us to read the Old Testament in Luke 24? The Old Testament is filled with faith pictures of Christ and His saving grace in our lives.  Remember what David said to Saul as Saul tried to dissuade him from facing Goliath in 1 Samuel 17: 34-37: " 34....David said, “I take care of my father's sheep. Any time a lion or a bear carries off a lamb, 35 I go after it, attack it, and rescue the lamb. And if the lion or bear turns on me, I grab it by the throat and beat it to death." 36 I have killed lions and bears, and I will do the same to this heathen Philistine, who has defied the army of the living God. 37 The Lord has saved me from lions and bears; He will save me from this Philistin

Removing the barrier to entering into God's Rest.

Pretty loooooong! My sister told me a joke that her friend shared with her. This was almost 20 years ago. It was about some pastor that commanded his congregation thus: "Ę gbá èşù l'étí! Ę gba l'étí!"  In English : "Slap Satan! Slap him!" Nobody wanted to do that:) Her friend said to her: " Satan is probably reading a newspaper and minding his own business. Why risk getting his attention by slapping him?"  I absolutely shared the same sentiment as we laughed over the joke. Little did I know that all it takes for Satan to actively hate and plot to destroy anyone 24/7 with zero provocation is for that one to be made in God's image- that's all of mankind.  But in Christ, we do not have to be afraid, as if we are like grasshoppers that Satan can just crush randomly and at will. Believers in Christ, the powers of darkness and their works that we are often afraid of are more scared of us than we are of them, because G
