Christ saves from sin and death

Beloved of God, Jesus did not come to tell bad people to "stop sinning and be good, or else...." He came to raise the dead (in sins) to life in Himself. He knows that sin is man's default mode and that all of us would be sinning copiously but for God's mercy by which we are not consumed by horrid sins and Job-type calamities, even though many boast in their strength to stand, like Peter before his denials expressed to him man's true nature.

Those same sins and addictions that you struggle with which antichrist church leaders hang over your head as why you cannot dine with Christ on God's freely-given health, provision, protection and in general, eternal life in Christ Jesus, God so loved you and I that He gave His own Son to die that we might live His kind of life: eternal life which begins here on earth. Christ gave His life to free us from every kind of sin and much more--

"He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds." Titus 2:14.

Imagine telling a child that he is not the offspring of his Father because he has no beard or because his beard is still straggly or because he did things to upset his dad? DNA evidence is showing us today that having a bushy beard like the man you call "daddy" and living in his house 24/7 is not what makes one legitimate. But if God is truly your Father in Christ, Christ says in John 15:5--

“I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me."

Beloved, there is no way you can manufacture a beard by yourself. Your beard and who you turn out to be (fruit/good deeds) is a function of your heavenly Father's nourishment, training and love. And how are we made children of God? See this in John 1:12-

"But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—"

Beloved, it has been Satan's practice since Eden to point out ungodliness in godly children of God and to push such to find their own godliness in their strength. Adam and Eve were made in God's likeness. You and I who believe Jesus have an even better covenant- we are joint heirs with Christ, declared godly/righteous through His blood by God Himself--

"And there is still much more to say of His unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God." Romans 5:9.

Those good deeds that religious devils inside church assess your "growing in Grace" to select and whack you with the law and threats of wrath for not having, Christ came not to accuse or condemn us for not having them but that you and I might have them in abundance, and not so that we should boast in that horrid "I fasted and sowed my house so God blessed me" manner. We do not even realise it as His perfect glory radiates in all that we do, yet not us but Christ in us, so we cannot boast. Christ gets all the glory.

The sin which the Holy Spirit convicts the world of, it is not our addictions or inability to keep the law which Christ came to save us from. It is not those cosmetic issues such as wearing wig, skinny suit pants on men and jewelry which false preachers like to highlight as signs of chastity and why you cannot draw near to God's throne of Grace. I stopped wearing jewelry circa 1998, except to some events where I know that I might get asked whether my reasons are church-based. Actually, I stopped because of a really vain and self-promoting reason, and then got used to going without! Definitely not because of chastity! See the sin that the Holy Spirit convicts man of in John 16:9--

"8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged."

See the MSG-- 8-11 “When He comes, He’ll expose the error of the godless world’s view of sin, righteousness, and judgment: He’ll show them that their refusal to believe in Me is their basic sin; that righteousness comes from above, where I am with the Father, out of their sight and control; that judgment takes place as the ruler of this godless world is brought to trial and convicted."

The sin that the world will be convicted of is the sin of UNBELIEF IN JESUS which false pastors blatantly glory in with their claims of being able to live godly lives by human effort and be their own saviour from sins. Christ the Good Shepherd says- "There is none good but God" and offers to carry all sheep on His shoulders, but such pride themselves in their ability to be good/walk uprightly. Beware of such, beloved.

If you believe in Jesus, God is no longer hanging ANY sin over your head much less desiring punish you for those sins. Christ died ONCE for ALL to wipe away our entire life of sins (Hebrews 9:27.) In Him, God sees us as righteous, and not because we are sinless but because of Christ's shed blood.--
"And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins." Romans 5:16.

Antichrist pastors cannot bear the thought of swallowing this truth, beloved. As the Pharisees did with Christ and as Satan did with Eve, such mask their reasons for challenging God's Word above with their being passionate for people to be obedient and godly aka "be like God"; but it is merely a hankering after the flesh aka self-glorification that comes with doing self-righteous works; something to make them stand apart from we lowly sinners who "lack self-control" and "just want to commit sin with reckless abandon":) Such trust their power to be godly (be good like God) but distrust the power of the Spirit of the Lord to transform even the vilest offender who believes to godliness and right living. Beloved, beware of such.

By God's Grace, let us see our utter need for God's Salvation and count all of our plenty obedience and good works that we thought meant something before God as DUNG to gain Christ, just as Paul did. For all who believe so, Romans 5:16 is the Good News and the Way to live in triumph over sin and death--

"And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one Man, Jesus Christ." Romans 5:16-17.

Beloved, you have sins or addictions and are beset with earthly ills, come with all of your dirty laundry and lay yourself at Christ's feet like the helpless adulteress whom the religious and "sinless" Pharisees dragged to Him for condemnation as many leaders do the helpless flock today. He will never condemn you. He came to free us from every kind of sin--

"He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds." Titus 2:14.

It is sad to see "men of God" positioning themselves as good because of their "sinlessness" and "good works" while hanging the threat of punishment for sins over the head of helpless sinners who are powerless to save themselves (no one can.) And right inside church, all of this when the purpose of Christ's coming is to make us godly, save us from our sins and cause us to live godly lives. Without Him, we cannot.

Anything apart from Christ is a dead work beloved, and that is why man can boast that "I sowed my car and got a jet." No Christ with whom God gives us ALL things FREELY in that equation. God's blessings in Christ are not for sale or "trade-by-barter." See how He gives us every single one of His blessings in Christ in Romans 8:32-

"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

Beloved, by Grace, let's not be found among "Pharisee-type" leaders and their followers who smugly respond with "Tell them" when "pastor" points out an issue that they feel does not concern them, as if everyone (with the exception of themselves) is just itching to commit sins; as if Peter could not wait for another opportunity to deny Jesus. As if Judas was somewhere splurging on whatever they splurged on back then with his betrayal money. The guy was depressed and suicidal as are many who we see as just wanting to commit sin. Let's see as Christ sees, beloved. At the well of Jacob, where man would have seen a promiscuous woman who is just hopping from one man to another in a fit of greed for money, Christ saw a woman who was thirsty for love and contentment but was looking for it in all the wrong places- only He can give love and contentment. He did not whack her with more laws telling her that what she was doing was wrong. He did not ask:

"But how can you be xyz? God will punish you if you don't abc..."

No friend. He let her know that He knew all of her dirtiest secrets, showed her love, took her shame and condemnation and offered her Himself-Living Water. And she was transformed to become one of the first evangelists- boldly telling her entire village about Jesus.

By the way, those two betrayals (by Peter and Judas) show us the only two reasons that push out the evil that is the default mode of man apart from Christ. People commit acts of sin either because --

  • They challenge Christ's word ("There is none good but God") and like Peter did, trust themselves to produce good (be like God) thus opening the door for Satan to sift them like wheat for the good they claim to be when Christ says differently
  • Satan entered them, like Judas whom "Satan entered." See Luke 22 -- 2 "The chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses were looking for a way to get rid of Jesus, because they were afraid of what the people might do. 3 Then Satan entered the heart of Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve apostles. 4 Judas went to talk with the chief priests and the officers of the temple police about how he could help them arrest Jesus."
Those are the two reasons why acts of sin are manifested in man whose default mode (apart from Christ) is the sin nature inherited from Adam. Based on the vagaries of Time and Chance as well as Satan's sifting which God is restraining many from falling victim to, all would be wallowing in copious sins like Peter, depression and suicide like Judas and Job-type calamities. Beloved, God's mercy is the "skeleton" that is keeping all upright. Yet some claim to be living sinless lives by no-good arm of flesh/human effort. Beloved, antichrist is not necessarily anti-God. By Grace, let's forsake all self-righteousness and silly efforts to save ourselves and look to Christ alone for Salvation.
Beloved, whatever bugs you, even sins, bring ALL of your worries and cares to Jesus. He will save you from them all. He came, not to point out your sins and tell you to save yourself from them or else punishment. Beloved, He came to save His people from their sins- Matthew 1:21.

"She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

When your believing is right, right living will follow.
