God’s Wisdom in our salvation

Believer, the wisdom of God is not human logic:

"For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18

Only when we receive God's abundance of Grace and His gift of righteousness to us in Christ do we GET TO  live in triumph over sin and death through Jesus Christ:

"And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one Man, Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:16-17.

God’s word above is telling us that because of the blood of Jesus, He sees us as righteous despite our many sins; that we get to live in triumph over sin and death through Christ when we receive His Grace (undeserved, unearned, unmerited favour) and His GIFT of righteousness. Yet many ask if the message of Grace will make people go on sinning sprees and cause people to "take advantage" of God's Grace! Whose word will we believe? Human logic or God’s Wisdom?

Beloved, the reason why there is so much sin in the church is because many are not taking advantage of God's grace and are depending on their measly ability to obey the law in order to be righteous, get right with God or receive from Him.  Galatians 2:21 says:

"I do not get rid of the grace of God. What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!"

Those who depend even the tiniest bit on their ability to do things (law-keeping) to get them anywhere with God get rid of His grace aka undeserved, unearned, unmerited favour. Christ's death has no effect on such. Titus 2:14 says of Christ:

"He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."

There is no salvation from sins for those who depend on their human ability to obey the law in order to be godly because it is Christ who saves us from our sins. Such are "cut off from Christ" so no forgiveness of sins here, no matter how good a person tries to be. But in Christ, all of our past, present and future sins have been forgiven. Will this cause believers to sin? Certainly not!" See the effect of the forgiveness of sins that God freely gives to all who believe in Jesus in Psalm 130:3-4:

"3 If You, Lord, should keep account of and treat [us according to our] sins, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently feared and worshiped."

See the TPT: "Lord, if You measured us and marked us with our sins, who would ever have their prayers answered? But Your forgiving love is what makes You so wonderful. No wonder you are loved and worshiped!"

Only when we know that we are completely forgiven can we reverently fear, love and worship God the way He wants us to. Christ is the Righteous foundation on whom we have forgiveness of sins from our Heavenly Father. Many do not know how much we are forgiven in Christ- to the uttermost. Christ said of the sinner woman in Luke 7:47-

"She has been forgiven of all her many sins. This is why she has shown Me such extravagant love. But those who assume they have very little to be forgiven will love Me very little.”

See the NIRV: "So I tell you this. Her many sins have been forgiven. She has shown that she understands this by her great acts of love. But whoever has been forgiven only a little loves only a little.”

Due to antichrist pastors’ teaching of what Paul describes as "doctrine of demons" in 1 Timothy 4:1, many churchgoers wrongly believe that in Christ, God is still holding our sins against us. Such can neither love Jesus much nor reverently fear and worship God. Their fear of God is a slavish fear of punishment whenever they sin- the same punishment that Christ bore for all who believe. Believer, God is Love! When you know that in Christ, you have been forgiven of ALL your many sins, just like the sinner woman, you too will show Christ extravagant love- desiring to be with and wanting to please Him always. We get to reverently fear, love and worship God the way He wants us to. We get to live a life of godliness that gives God all the glory. All from knowing how much we are loved and forgiven in our wonderful Saviour Jesus Christ.

Right believing always produces right living.
