In Christ, we have been redeemed from generational and every other curse (4/4)

Have you ever given thought to the fact that most Christians first learn of "their" generational curse from “men of God” who are standing behind church pulpits? You're just minding your own business and someone comes to tell you that you need to come and break some curse of your father's house, or else; you who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thus have been redeemed from every single curse according to Galatians 3:13! Beware of such preachers, beloved. The spirit of the antichrist is not necessarily anti-God. The word “antichrist” is translated from two Greek words—

Anti — meaning “replace” or “in place of” and

Christos — meaning “Christ” = “Anointed”

Antichrist” refers to anyone who tries to REPLACE what CHRIST has done to make us righteous, free us from the imputation, guilt, condemnation and penalty of sin (death plus its symptoms of earthly ills) and to grant us eternal life in Himself with what MAN must do by his useless human effort aka the arm of flesh. For instance, Christ hung on the cross to redeem us from generational and every other curse (Galatians 3:13.) But pulpit-manning antichrists whose lives SEEM to be the epitome of godliness attained by human striving disagree by promoting things like fasting for 79 days and doing righteous deeds in order to escape the curse and God’s wrath.

Beware of preachers who peddle such “leaven of the Pharisees”

As it was with the Pharisees whose doctrine was all about trying to be godly (be like God) by human striving, Satan’s ministers inside church will never preach the attainment of godliness through what Christ has done. Their focus is on what man must do in his own strength. Little wonder Christ referred to them (religious Jews) as “Brood of vipers” and “Satan is your father.” Theirs was the same doctrine that Satan used to deceive Eve in Eden. Jesus Christ the Tree of Life was right there with them to save them and grant them eternal life as a free gift of God’s grace (undeserved, unearned, unmerited favour,) but they wanted to and felt that they could earn all or some of the glory, so that they could maintain their high esteem in society— just like many church leaders who follow their doctrine and preach that you should strive to be sins-free or godly (be like God) in your own useless strength (arm of flesh) while rejecting Grace.

Teaching that generational or other curses can hold sway in the life of a believer is not of Christ. It contradicts God's word -

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law..."

By Grace, beware of "men of God" who tell churchgoers whom Christ hung on the cross to redeem from EVERY curse (including generational curses) that they still have generational curses in their lives. This is the voice of Satan the accuser - accusing believers who have been freed from the curse and made perfect in Christ (Hebrews 10:14) of imperfection and deceiving many churchgoers into believing that they can undo the generational curse that God instituted by Himself through useless human effort (arm of flesh)-driven activities such as fasting, sowing seed and attending "deliverance sessions."

Such false doctrine preachers order their congregations to go and fast for 70 days and such in order to receive deliverance from the same curse that Christ hung on the cross to redeem us from. Many churchgoers are actively believing them, confessing that they have generational curses in their lives and are actively trying to "break" or "reverse" such curses by fasting!  Believer, by God's grace, flee from such evil. Those false doctrine preachers might as well ask you to go and fast and sow seed to reverse God's work of sunrise and sunset! The generational curse is tied to sins for which the Law demands punishment. Only those whose sins are no longer held against them are free from the curse and this is the free gift of God to all who have Christ as their Righteousness.

Believer, God instituted the Law and its curse (and the generational curse even as an act of mercy as we see in the lives of the unbelieving Israelites) and He Himself provided the only Way of escape and our Salvation from the Law and the curse that it brings- His name is Jesus Christ.

Believer, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law. The generational curse involves the Lord God —

visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

For we who believe in Jesus Christ, see the witness of the Holy Spirit to all believers based on the finished work of Christ in Hebrews 8:12–

For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.””

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭

Because of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, God does not remember our sins and iniquities, so what iniquities is He visiting on your generations, you who are fasting for 80 days to undo generational curse that God Himself instituted in His mercy? If He should answer that prayer for those who are under Law, they would die instantly and still face the second death in hell!

Plus, do you see the contrast? Under the Old Covenant of the Law—

"...He will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generations." Numbers 14:18.

Here, God remembers the fathers' iniquity and will visit it on generations born and unborn. In Christ, for we who are under the New Covenant of Grace, the Lord says in Hebrews 8:12-

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."

In Christ, God does not remember our sins. No more sins/iniquity to visit on us or our descendants in Christ so no more generational or other curse for all who believe in Jesus Christ.

Jesus didn't have to hang on the cross to die. Stoning was the usual way of killing sinners back then but He had to hang on the cross so that we can be redeemed from the curse of the Law, including generational curses: Galatians 3:13-

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),"

In Christ, we are not under Law where there is the curse but under Grace where we get to escape the curse of the Law and live the abundant life in Christ. This is how our heavenly Father sees us in Him: Romans 5:9-

"And there is still much more to say of His unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God."

By God’s Grace, don't let any church "Daddy" or “Mummy" bamboozle you into slavery to the Law with their twisted and false doctrines that say you who are in Christ are cursed with a generational or whatever curse. In Christ, we have been justified and redeemed from every curse by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

Right believing always produces right living
