Live in triumph over sin

Believers, James 2:10 says "For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws." For example lying is a sin and so is homosexuality; the one who only lied about his location to his boss for a good reason but does everything else right is just as guilty as the child-molesting rapist, murdering homosexual. Ask James 2:10😊: "For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws." The same curse of the law applies to both. The same wages of sin apply. Death preceded by its symptoms aka ALL of the curses in Deut.28.

God hates ALL sin because sin destroys His beloved - you and I. Sin kills. The wages of  sin, any sin, is death. But some people think that they are better than the homosexuals and other "core sinners" because they are not gay and do not commit certain sins. Recall the story of the Pharisees who wanted to stone the woman caught in adultery. They thought they were "better" until Jesus floored them with His words "He who is without sin should cast the first stone." Those words stand forever.
Believers, our salvation is by grace through faith. But God's grace is not a license to sin. It is the key to living a righteous life.

God HATES sin, so much that all it takes to be guilty of the whole law is to stumble at one point. From the "harmless" lie to homosexuality, all are sin and according to His word, the wages of sin is death, preceded by its symptoms aka ALL of the curses in Deut. 28:16-end. Nowhere does grace, personified by our Saviour Jesus Christ, make these or any other sin okay. Those who say it is okay to continue in sin because of grace are not under grace. This is another warped attempt by Satan to confuse and blind many to the Truth that sets free. Jude spoke of these scoundrels in Jude 1 describing them as "spots in our love feast."

Do you remember "for sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under grace"? Somehow the church has it backwards saying grace is what makes sin have dominion over one.

God hates sin BUT LOVES THE SINNER. Because He "so loved the world," He gave His own Son not just to die for our sins but also to redeem us from every lawless deed: to free us from sin (Titus 2:13-14.) The point is if a person is truly under grace (personified by our Saviour Jesus Christ,) he cannot continue to sin AND NOT BY HIS OWN EFFORT, but because of "Christ that liveth in me," much like how you can't jump into a pool of water without getting wet. You don't have to do anything to get wet once you're in. Here's John 6:44 for anyone that is thinking "but you have to make up your mind and do your best to jump into the pool that is Christ:"

"For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up."

And there we were thinking "I have decided to follow Jesus" when He drew us to Himself! He Himself said in John 15:5 "...for without me you can do nothing." Not even receive Christ as Saviour.
Grace is the power of God to salvation; salvation from hell, death, acts of sin and every earthly ill. The path of the just (the righteous by faith) is like the morning sun that shines brighter unto the perfect day, never darker as for us to say that sins like lying about your location to your boss and homosexuality are okay. Recall that the one who did one is just as guilty as the one who did the other according to the law. This is why the Pharisees could not stone the woman caught in adultery; they might not have committed adultery themselves but in the eyes of the law, they had; break one law and be guilty of breaking all. Yet here we are condemning homosexuals and those that we deem to be "core sinners" ...even in light of John 3:17-

"for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved."

Many of these beloved of God that Christ also died for are looking for a way out of the sins that hold them captive. They hate that they cannot stop. By all means let such know that these things are wrong and will destroy them but instead of pointing them to themselves (keeping the law via human effort) for salvation from their sins and threatening them with judgment, point them to Christ as the one who redeems us from every lawless deed (Titus 2:14.)

Sin is a prison and death is the price for freedom. If this price is not paid in full, any other way out (human effort at being free) will see the long arm of the law returning such who try to escape without full payment back to prison and under harsher circumstances. Christ died this death to set us free from sin.

Remember Peter who boasted that he would die with Christ but denied Christ three times when the devil descended on him with temptation? In Christ's words in Luke 22:31 - "And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat."

The reason we are not committing those particular sins is because we have not been tempted at that point, so we cannot sympathise with their weaknesses; our human brains cannot understand why these sinners just won't stop sinning. But Christ does. See Hebrews 4:

15 "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

Jesus does not condemn these beloved of God. He wants them, and every sinner, saved. He came to save sinners from sin, not tell sinners that they can carry on sinning and leave them to their devices because of grace. This is like telling a man that is drowning (being homosexual or whatever sin) to continue drowning; such will eventually die. Anyone who preaches this perversion is of the devil. Sin destroys. Jesus saves from sin. He never leaves us to wallow in sin because we are forgiven. He shows mercy and gives grace to help in time of need.

Romans 6:1 "...Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" Do you know who said it and why? Paul did, because people were falsely accusing him of preaching that it is okay to continue to wallow in sin because of grace (Romans 3:8.) Same label many religious people are trying to stick on we grace children today.

Our God is a righteous God and cannot abide an iota of sin in oceans of our puny attempts at keeping the law. No one can achieve the righteousness or full moral excellence that the Law demands by human effort. Romans 3:20 says "For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are."

Our Lord Jesus Christ's righteousness is a gift to all who believe Him. We can't earn it by keeping the Ten Commandments. We can't deserve it. It is a gift of grace- undeserved, unmerited favour. Romans 5:17 says:

"...But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ."

Only in Him do we live right/triumph over sin.

The Holy Spirit will teach you all things.

Believe Right and you will Live Right.
