Have a Christ-righteousness filled 2018.

Believers, believe that you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21.) We are saved (made righteous and whole) not by what we do or don't do (law-keeping) but by what our Lord Jesus Christ has done - by grace through faith.

See our Saviour's word to us in John 6:43-46: "Jesus said, “Don’t bicker among yourselves over Me. You’re not in charge here. The Father who sent Me is in charge. He draws people to Me—that’s the only way you’ll ever come. Only then do I do my work, putting people together, setting them on their feet, ready for the End...."

See His word to us: “You’re not in charge here. The Father who sent Me is in charge. He draws people to Me—that’s the only way you’ll ever come." Our believing is a gift without which we would never know the truth that makes us free.

See His word to us: "Only then do I do my work, putting people together, setting them on their feet, ready for the End...." Our wholeness and ability to live right is a result of Christ's work of "putting people together, setting them on their feet, ready for the End..."

Our salvation, including salvaation from our sins, has got nothing to do with our own obedience. It's got all to do with Christ's obedience:

"For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous." Romans 5:19. And this is how we get to live in triumph over sin and death: Romans 5:17-

"For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one Man, Jesus Christ."

Christ does it all. By Grace, hear Him now: "God, the Master, The Holy of Israel, has this solemn counsel: “Your salvation requires you to turn back to Me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on Me— The very thing you’ve been unwilling to do." Isaiah 30:15.

Believer, by grace, be willing: let go of the many activities that you are doing in a bid to earn the gift of God: eternal life, including abundant life here on earth. Gifts aren't earned, how much more the free gift of God that is "eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23. Our Abba Father gives us ALL things FREELY with Christ (Romans 8:32.)

Let Christ love you into strength and wholeness. Settle down in complete dependence on Him. No additives of works of the law to get right with God. Know and call our Lord Jesus Christ by "His name by which He shall be called" as prophesied by Jeremiah (23:6):

THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Believers, today is the day that Isaiah prophesied about in Isaiah 45:24 saying: "The people will declare, “The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength.”"

Notice it's ALL my righteousness and strength, and not some. But many believe the wrong doctrine of "Yes we are saved by grace but we still have to keep the law and do good things and make sure we don't sin by our own effort in order to maintain our salvation." This way, people have something to boast about. This is to be "neither hot nor cold." Lukewarm. Part-law, part-grace. This is the lukewarm church that Christ spoke of in Revelation 3. This is not of Christ. With Him, it's either “The Lord is the source of ALL my righteousness and strength”" or nothing at all.

With Christ as our righteousness and strength, we don't HAVE TO live right; we GET TO live right; we get to mount up with wings like eagles; we get to run and not be weary; we get to walk and not faint. All in His righteousness and His strength, not ours. His strength is made perfect in weakness. The strong (those who are able to stop sinning, live righteous lives and obey the law by their own power) don't need Him:)

"...To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,...." (2 Peter 1: 1-4.)

Amen!
