How does a believer fall from Grace?

Believer, John 3:16 isn't popular by coincidence. Christ says: "...whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

This is the message of the cross - Christ lifted up on the cross for our salvation - but many try to add terms and conditions to it. The Message is illogical to many:

"For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18.

Romans 10 tells us what our salvation in Christ entails:

9 "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

Believer, believing in Jesus entails believing and confessing Jesus as Lord and believing what He accomplished for us through His crucifixion and His resurrection ("God raised Him from the dead") . See what He accomplished for us in Romans 4:25-

"who was delivered up because of our offences, and was raised up because of our being declared righteous."

See the TPT- "Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that He had made us right with God!"

God raised Jesus from the dead BECAUSE we have been declared RIGHTEOUS. All of our lifetime of sins FORGIVEN and every demand of the Law fulfilled for all who believe in Christ Jesus. And this is God's opinion of us because we believe Him:

"And there is still much more to say of His unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God."

Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ is righteous in God's sight and thus "Rapture-ready" because of the finished work of Christ and not because we kept the Law, fasted or sowed seed; but preachers of false doctrines try to add human effort at getting right with God (Law-keeping) to the Good News (Grace- undeserved, unearned, unmerited favour.) Such challenge God's Word by saying that you who believe can become unrighteous and will still experience the wrath of God because you sinned or for whatever reason, contradicting the message of Christ. Such say things like:

"Yes we are saved by Grace but we still have to keep the law in order to be righteous/godly so that we don't fall from grace."

Believer, there is only one way to fall from Grace and it is clearly stated in Galatians 5:4-

"For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's grace."

But Satan, through his ministers in many churches, is propagating this horrid doctrine that tells you that your sins are what make you fall from grace! Believer, let's take our blessed brains to church! Titus 2:14 says of Christ:

"He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."

Also Matthew 1:21- "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Christ came to save us from from our sins! How can we fall from Grace because we sinned when Christ came to save us from those very sins that bring death? Let's take our blessed brains to church. According to God's word, keeping the law to get right with God/be godly is the way to fall from Grace. This action - keeping the law in order to be godly- points to rejecting God's gift of righteousness to us that Christ died that we might have, as it is written in Romans 5:9-

"And there is still much more to say of His unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God."

Isaiah prophesied about the suffering of Christ in Isaiah 53. See the result of His suffering for us in Isaiah 53:11-

"After He has suffered, He will see the light of life. And He will be satisfied. My godly servant will make many people godly because of what He will accomplish. He will be punished for their sins."

Christ died to make us godly (be like God.) Also consider 1 John 4:17-

"Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world."

As Christ is, so are we in this world; right here on earth, all who believe in Him have been made to be like God: Righteous. Remember Colossians 2:9 tells us: "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body." In Christ is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. As believers, washed in the blood of Jesus, we are like Christ: Godly.

Keeping the law or doing anything at all by human effort in order to be godly (be like God) after God Himself has made us godly like Himself through Christ is the same strategy that Satan used on Eve in Eden. Remember Genesis 1:27 tells us how God made Adam and Eve:

"So God created human beings in His own likeness. He created them to be like Himself. He created them as male and female."

They were made to "be like God" but Satan deceived Eve into believing that she had to do more to be like God by human effort at eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. See the forbidden fruit as a picture of the law that many are trying so hard to obey in order to be godly in Romans 7:8-12 (MSG) -

"Don’t you remember how it was? I do, perfectly well. The law code started out as an excellent piece of work. What happened, though, was that sin found a way to pervert the command into a temptation, making a piece of “forbidden fruit” out of it. The law code, instead of being used to guide me, was used to seduce me."

Satan is still seducing people to eat from the same tree (the Law which tells what is good and what is evil) in order to be godly. This way seems right to man, afterall, what is bad in trying to keep the law in order to be godly? But the end of this way is death. Proverbs 14:12 counsels us:

"There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death."

The spirit of the antichrist is not anti-God. Rather, it preaches VERY STRONGLY on the need for a person to be godly. But its own way of attaining godliness is through what YOU must do by HUMAN EFFORT (law-keeping) and never through what CHRIST has done (Grace.)

The letter (Law) kills. Keeping the law in order to be godly while calling on Jesus (Grace|-personified) who died to make us godly is how to get cut off from Christ. Practicing this horrid mixture of salvation by part-human effort and part-Christ is to be neither under Law nor under Grace; this is the "neither cold nor hot" that Christ spoke of in Revelation 3. Believer, by Grace, let's not fall for this Satan's deception like Adam and Eve did. Satan knows that pushing you to do the "good thing" of relying on your non-existent will-power (says Romans 7:18) at doing good and keeping the law is how to cut you off from Christ:

"For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's grace." Galatians 5:4 .

Believer, beware of demonic preachers that pretend to be of Christ. These are the ones that twist the verse: "Shall we continue in sin that Grace may abound?" to keep you bound in slavery to the Law. They know that your efforts at keeping the Law is how to make sin increase and have dominion over you:

"For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under Grace." Romans 6:14

Such wolves in sheep's clothing know Romans 5:20 -

"The law was given so that sin would increase. But where sin increased, God’s grace increased even more."

They know that telling you to keep the Law in order to be godly and not "fall from grace" is how to make sin an increasing factor in your life!

Believer, understand that the verse: "But where sin increased, God’s grace increased even more" does not mean that we can continue to wallow in sins because of Grace. God's abundance of grace stamps out sin and causes us to live right. It is akin to quenching a lit matchstick (sin) with billions of gallons of water (abundance of Grace.) We see this manifested in the life of Peter who denied Christ: Grace transformed the Christ-denying Simon to pillar of the church- Peter, as He will transform you today when you surrender your will to Him.

Believer, only when we receive God's abundance of Grace and His gift of Righteousness to us in Christ can we live in triumph over SIN and DEATH:

"For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one Man, Jesus Christ." Romans 5:17.

No wonder Satan and His agents are constantly attacking the gospel of Grace or trying to add some Law to "balance" the Message. Believer, simply believe. When your believing is right, right living will follow. Believe in Jesus and He will save you from your sins, cleanse you of all your unrighteousness and transform you from inside out. God's Word says so- Titus 2:14-

"He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."

Believe Right and you will Live Right.
