In Christ, we are forever righteous in God's sight, even with all of our sins and imperfections - He saves us from them all..

Believers in Christ, see our heavenly Father's heart towards us expressed in Romans 5:9-

"And there is still much more to say of His unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God.

As the righteousness of God in Christ - not depending on our law-keeping to make us right with God but on that gift of everlasting righteousness that proceeds from the obedience of Christ our Saviour who hung on the cross for our sake - we are forever 100% righteous in the sight of God our heavenly Father, and not because we did anything to deserve it. Nothing can shift the believer in Christ from this  blood of Jesus Christ-bought positioning of favour before God, not even sins. Let's see why based on God's word:

See what Christ said He is doing in our lives as we await His coming at the Rapture:

"Jesus said, “Don’t bicker among yourselves over Me. You’re not in charge here. The Father who sent Me is in charge. He draws people to Me—that’s the only way you’ll ever come. Only then do I do My work, putting people together, setting them on their feet, ready for the End." John 6:43-46 (MSG).

Also see what He came to do and is doing in our lives in Titus 2:14- "He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."

And you can be sure that Philippians 1:6 is the truth: "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"

See the TPT: "I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this glorious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you and will put his finishing touches to it until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!"

Let's take our blessed brains to church: In Christ, we His sheep are all a work in progress. We are all imperfect people whose perfection is found in Christ. We are being transformed by His Spirit in us. This side of heaven, nobody can EVER be sin-free by human striving or will-power. If you have no sins, can keep a not of the Law by your will-power, are sinless by your own will-power or can save yourself from your sins by your own will-power (aka arm of flesh,) then you have no need for Jesus Christ our Saviour whose work is outlined in the verses above. Why would Christ be doing all of those things that He said He is doing in us and for us if we could live sinless lives by sheer determination and will-power aka the arm of flesh? Matthew 1:21 says of Christ:

She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Beware of antichrist "pastors" who preach that God who sent His Son to save us from our sins will punish you or let the devil have a go at you for the same sins that Christ came to save you from. This is akin to an oncologist dad refusing to treat and even punishing his own beloved child because the child has cancer and is exhibiting its symptoms! No, friend. God's eyes burn at sin but radiate perfect love for the believer who is struggling with the cancer of sin!

Believer, Christ died for our sins. God cannot punish the same sin twice. Our heavenly Father in Christ disciplines us but never with the suffering and death that Christ took for us. The treatment process (God's discipline) for the cancer of sin and its effects might be painful but according to Hebrews 12:9-10, His discipline is so that we might live and "for our good, so that we may share in His holiness." Verse 11 says:

"to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness."

Blessed is the man that receives this training!

2 Corinthians 5:21 says "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Believer, just as the good things that we did before we became born-again could not make us righteous in God's sight, as the righteousness of God in Christ, our sins and imperfections that He came to save us from cannot make us lose this gift of righteousness. Our sins have been punished in the body of our Saviour Jesus. Because Jesus died for our sins, God does not remember them anymore (Hebrews 8 and Hebrews 10.) We do not become unrighteous when we sin or mess things up because we did not work for His gift of righteousness to begin with.  It is a gift.

But God's grace is not a license to sin! Certainly not! Only  by receiving God's abundance of grace and His gift of righteousness to us in Christ do we get to live in triumph over sin and death through Jesus Christ: Romans 5:16-17:

"And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one Man, Jesus Christ."

God's superabounding Grace is our victory over sin. Romans 6:14 says "For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under Grace." But many churchgoers have this verse backwards due to the teachings of antichrist pastors.

Those who are trying to keep the Law in order to get right with God seem to believe that all we "Grace people" want to do is flout God's Law and wallow in sins when the exact opposite is the case (only by God's grace are we this way!)  - Can you imagine feeling extreme guilt and condemnation because you said "She spilled water all over the floor" when the water didn't really cover the entire floor? Let's not even talk about the sin of being fearful. Most people don't know that being fearful or having doubts, even about food, is a sin. Romans 14:23 -

"But the one who has misgivings feels miserable if he eats meat, because he doubts and doesn’t eat in faith. For anything we do that doesn’t spring from faith is, by definition, sinful."

Fear does not spring from faith. Remember the "fearful and unbelieving" lead the pack of those who are bound for hell in the Book of Revelation. Those who think they can obey the law have no idea about its severity. The law does not understand “I did my best.” It demands absolute righteousness from those who are trying to get right with God or inherit eternal life by obeying it; this after Christ died for this purpose and much more. See James 2:10 - "For whosoever shall keep the whole law yet stumble at one point, he is guilty of all."

The Law is not bothered about the ethical or "honest mistake" bases for sins like whether you forgot like Onoghen or stole because you were hungry or to save a life. Under law, every sin will be punished to the uttermost: Death.

I (and many of us "Grace children") got so exhausted trying to get right with God and get the blessing through obeying the Ten Commandments that I told God one day: “I can't do this anymore. I give up. I can't fight the devil. I can't keep the law. Do whatever you want with me. I can't go on like this….”

I was at the end of my tether; and the purpose of the law was fulfilled in me without me realising it. See Romans 3:19-20-

19 Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. 20 For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.”

Also Galatians 3:19: “What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added [later on, after the promise, to disclose and expose to men their guilt] because of transgressions and [to make men more conscious of the sinfulness] of sin; and it was intended to be in effect until the Seed (the Descendant, the Heir) should come, to and concerning Whom the promise had been made…”

Also Romans 5:20 - "The law was given so that sin would increase. But where sin increased, God’s grace increased even more."

The Law was not given to for us to keep in order to get right with God. It was given to show up our guilt and cause sin so increase so that we can see the utter hopelessness of depending on will-power to overcome sin and death. The Law was given to make us see how much we need God's saving Grace- Jesus Christ Himself.

But antichrist pastors are deceiving many churchgoers into thinking that they have enough good in them to be able to keep the Law in order to be right with God. Those who boast in their ability (arm of flesh) to keep the law are not aware that the reason why they are not committing particular sins is because God did not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. See 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 -

12 "So beware if you think it could never happen to you, lest your pride becomes your downfall. 13 We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously."

Beloved of God, Time and Chance do not conduct SWOT analysis before throwing weights (tests and trials) at anybody. So what do you if you can only manage to carry 10kg or even 0kg at the point where Time and Chance decide to throw you a crushing 100 tonne test and then God decides to ease up on His filtering and screening to let you see the futility of your will-power as He did with Peter who ended up denying Christ? The potential to commit heinous crimes is in everybody. God sees this potential and how favourable circumstances can make some people think that some sins are beneath them, that they can obey the Law and overcome tests and trials by human striving.

See what God's word says of man's ability to keep the law, a truth that Peter and Paul experienced: Romans 7:18-

"For I know that nothing good lives within the flesh of my fallen humanity. The longings to do what is right are within me, but will-power is not enough to accomplish it."

God's word says human effort (the arm of flesh) will fail, is powerless and cannot. But antichrist "pastors" in many churches appeal to the non-existent good in man and Pride in the arm of flesh (human effort at obedience) that will fail to make churchgoers say:

"No, I can. God must be wrong. I still have some good in me. I can keep the Law and resist temptation to commit sin by my will-power and sheer determination. I can do what I said I will do.”

Reminds one of Peter telling Jesus that He was wrong when Jesus told him of his upcoming denials. He ended up breaking the law "You shall not bear false witness" three times after boasting that he would keep this Law. This is a fulfilment of the purpose for which the law was given as it is written in Romans 5:20 -

"The law was given so that sin would increase. But where sin increased, God’s grace increased even more."

Try to keep the law or depend on your own will-power to keep it and sin will multiply in the area of your boast. Keeping the law in a bid to be godly is also how to get cut off from Christ who saves from sins; see Galatians 5:4-

"For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's grace."

Satan knows that law-keeping to get right with God is the way to get cut off from Christ who saves from sins. He (Satan) and his "pastor" agents are pushing that horrid "keep the Law in order to be godly" doctrine from many pulpits in order to keep churchgoers separated from Christ and thus cause such to remain in captivity to sin. By Grace, beware of such preachers who reject the power of the Holy Spirit to transform even the vilest offender to live right and tell you to transform yourself to righteousness using your non-existent will-power aka the arm of flesh that will fail.

Isaiah 64:6 describes the product of human striving at attaining righteousness as "a menstrual rag" in God's sight" too: "We are all like one who is unclean, all our so-called righteous acts are like a menstrual rag in Your sight."

By God's grace, don't be deceived by antichrist pastors who preach dependence on human striving at keeping the Law as the means of attaining godliness and tell you that Grace is not enough.  We “Grace people” hate sin with a passion, just like our heavenly Father! Under Grace, we get to live right without our useless will-power, yet not us, but Christ (the Way; our Way) in us.

A tightrope walker with a safety net installed far below to catch him if he falls will walk the tightrope with confidence and without fear because he knows that he will not die/get hurt if he falls. But the fact that the safety net is there does not make him love to fall. He doesn't deliberately fall just because the net is there. He hates to fall because it would ruin his performance! And he is less likely to fall because there is no fear of falling or anxiety to make him act irrationally or lose concentration while walking.

On the other hand, the one with no safety net will be consumed with thoughts of falling and what could happen if he does fall. He cannot concentrate on the task at hand because of the fear of falling and the consequences. He wonders what will happen if he takes just one wrong step, and panics!  Because he cannot concentrate on the task at hand, because the thought of death by splatting on the concrete far down below consumes him, his greatest fear - falling and splatting- comes upon him! And because there is no safety net, he dies! The letter (Law) kills but the Spirit gives life.

This is the same way (but waaaay better than) how you don't see diplomats/ambassadors from rich countries going berserk and breaking laws in their poorer host country just because they have diplomatic immunity. The law of a host country cannot prosecute a diplomat/ambassador for any crime that he commits in his host country, even murder.  The diplomat's home country does the sanctioning. But you don't find them going on sinning sprees or breaking the law because of their immunity. They have no reason to lack for anything because their home country makes sure that they are well taken care of. How much more us believers in Christ that are citizens of heaven and Christ's ambassadors here on earth where our Lord God loads us daily with benefits! His gift of no condemnation empowers us to go and sin no more! His correction is for our profit too, according to Hebrews 12.

In Christ, we have much, much more than just a safety net! In Christ, the Holy Spirit transforms us to the image of His glory, from glory to glory.  When you depend on His righteousness and not your own ability to be good, you'll find that the desire to indulge in those sins and addictions that you enjoy but are ashamed of will disappear miraculously. You find that you talk about our Saviour more, give more, love more and do exploits without knowing how, yet not you but Christ in you! This is the transformation to the image of the Lord's glory, from glory to glory. It comes by beholding Jesus, not beholding the Law. This is Grace! We get to walk that tightrope successfully and in peace, without fear, yet not us, but Christ in us. And He can never fall!

Ask the Lord to lead you on the path of righteousness today. No long prayer or anything. A simple "Lord, help me" will suffice. Like our heavenly Father, we prefer our kids' badly drawn/written birthday cards to the fanciest Hallmark card in the world. He loves you!

The Holy Spirit will teach you all things.

Believe Right and you will Live Right!
