Freely you have received. Freely give.

Believers, consider Matthew 20:

29 "Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him. 30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
31 Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
32 So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
33 They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” 34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him."

It took ONLY the blind men's cry for mercy to stop the Almighty God in His tracks and FREELY heal them. Our Saviour Jesus Christ heard them and with compassion, gave them sight in their eyes FREELY with no terms and conditions like "go and fast and sow a seed" attached. This was His way throughout the gospels:

the woman with the issue of blood, the centurion with the sick servant, the Syrophoenician woman with the demon-possessed daughter who was not a Jew and probably worshipped idols, the 5,000 and 4,000 hungry that He fed, the Gadarene demoniac whom nobody had to do 70 days dry fast to "deliver," the woman that was caught in adultery and was facing certain death, even Zacchaeus the despised thieving tax-collector whom He transformed into a cheerful giver- He healed, saved and delivered them all - FREELY

And in Him, we never remain the same. Romans 5:16-17 shows us what happens to all who come to Christ for salvation from sin and death and put ZERO confidence in human effort at keeping the Law or living a godly life:

"And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one Man, Jesus Christ."

But the Pharisees and teachers of religious law who thought they were righteous and expected that God would bless them because of their fasts, tithes, seeds, proper dressing and their ability to keep the Ten Commandments could not receive from Jesus. They separated themselves from Him just as anyone today who depends on his ability or will-power (arm of flesh) to keep the law or live a godly life in order to get into God's good books and enjoy His blessings have been separated from Christ - Galatians 5:4-

"For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the Law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's Grace."

Believer, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13;8.)  He never asked a single person which sins they had committed or whether they had offended anybody before showing them His salvation. How could He when He came to save us from those very sins that antichrist pastors say are what separate us from Him? Matthew 1:21 says of Him:

She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Also Titus 2:14- "He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."

Believer, even those sins in Revelation 21:8 and their consequence of death in hell that some church leaders threaten you with if you don't do your best to keep the Ten Commandments and  "at least try" live a godly life -

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

- anyone found guilty of these sins will perish and not have everlasting life. Many of us are yet to realise the futility of trying to overcome these sins by will-power (arm of flesh) as false pastors tell the sheep to do. Believer, God gave His own Son to save us from these sins and much more. This is why Christ came. See John 3:16-

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Let's take our blessed brains to church. What sense is there in believing that God sent His own Son to save us from our sins while simultaneously believing that He will kill us for the same sins that He sent His own Son to save us from? This is akin to a helpless child who is suffering from cancer believing that his own father who is an expert oncologist will heal him but also kill him for having cancer. Beloved of God, God's eyes burn at sin but radiate perfect love for the sinner who looks to Christ alone for salvation from sins. Gslatians 3:5 tells us:

"Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—

See the New Living Translation: "I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ."

Through the hearing of Faith (preaching whose foundation is the finished work of Christ in making the sinner who believes in Jesus Christ 100% righteous in God's sight - Romans 5:9) and not the Law, God is constantly working miracles among us and supplying us with the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:5.) His Spirit is the "chemo" that is transforming us from our former cancer of sin-ridden selves to Christ's perfection - 2 Corinthians 3:18-

"But we all with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed to the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Yet many churchgoers say things like: "But at least we should try to not sin, keep the law and do our best to be godly so that we won't fall from Grace."

This is Satan's preaching and the sure way to fall from Grace: "For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the Law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's Grace." Galatians 5:4.

Believer, this is the height of Foolishness and Pride - to depend on human striving at obedience (arm of flesh) in order to be godly aka "be like God." Satan's strategy has not changed since he deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden. See the forbidden fruit as a picture of the Law (which gives the knowledge of good and evil) that many are trying to keep in order to be godly (be like God) today in Romans 7:8-12 (MSG) -

"Don’t you remember how it was? I do, perfectly well. The law code started out as an excellent piece of work. What happened, though, was that sin found a way to pervert the command into a temptation, making a piece of “forbidden fruit” out of it. The law code, instead of being used to guide me, was used to seduce me..."

Adam and Eve also depended on their human striving to be godly aka "be like God" and the result is still the same today: being cut off from the Tree of Life who is Jesus Christ- the Bread of Life -

"For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the Law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's Grace." Galatians 5:4.

Believer, God Himself made the Way for us to be godly (be like God) and it is through the suffering of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Isaiah prophesied of His suffering for us in Isaiah 53. See the effect of His sacrifice for us in Isaiah 53:11-

"After He has suffered, He will see the light of life. And He will be satisfied. My godly servant will make many people godly because of what He will accomplish. He will be punished for their sins."

But preachers of what God's word  calls “doctrines of demons” in 1 Timothy 4:1 will tell you: "Now that you are born-again, you have to obey the law in order to be godly and escape God's punishment and make it to heaven."  - everything that Christ died that we might freely have! This is the same strategy that Satan the chief demon used to deceive Eve when he told her that that she would be godly (be like God) if she did something by human effort.

Believer, the letter (law) kills but the Spirit gives life, and with the Spirit of the Lord, it is neither by might nor by power. The problem with man is confidence in the flesh (will-power or human effort at obedience.) Many churchgoers have no idea that the reason why we are not committing particular sins and seem to be doing well at keeping the Ten Commandments is because God did not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. No sin is beneath anybody. Of ourselves, thr potential commit heinous crimes is in everybody. God sees this potential and how favourable circumstances can make some people think that some sins are beneath them or that they can "at least try" to keep the Law. But see what God's word says of that power that many think they have as was Paul's experience in Romans 7:18-

"For I know that nothing good lives within the flesh of my fallen humanity. The longings to do what is right are within me, but will-power is not enough to accomplish it."

God's word says human effort (the arm of flesh) will fail, is powerless and cannot. But Pride in the arm of flesh (human effort at obedience) that will fail says:

"No, I can. God must be wrong. I still have some good in me. I can keep the law and resist temptation to commit sin by my own will-power."

For all man's efforts and striving at trying to be godly ("be like God" as Adam and Eve did,) the result is like "a menstrual rag" in God's sight according to Isaiah 64:6-

"We are all like one who is unclean, all our so-called righteous acts are like a menstrual rag in Your sight."

Romans 6:14 says: "For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under Law but under Grace." Romans 6:14.

Also see Romans 5:20 - "The law was given that sin might increase..."

Satan knows that "trying to be godly by human striving" aka keeping the Law is the way to keep man locked down in a cycle of sin so he and his agents behind many pulpits are always preaching sermons that hinge your salvation from sins and living a godly life on your ability to keep the Law. This is antichrist teaching. This antichrist spirit appeals to the non-existent will-power to do good in those who think they can "at least try" to keep the law in order to be godly (be like God.)

But we digress!

The two men that Christ gave sight were not born-again at the time of their salvation from blindness. They practiced Judaism. But after their eyes were opened, they became followers of Christ. Believer in Christ,  how much more we who are followers of Christ; children of God by virtue of our believing in our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Believer in Christ, to us, God is not just a Boss or Judge. He is our DADDY! Our Abba Father.

Would you really see your own child jobless and living in penury and not offer a helping hand until he goes to borrow money to so a seed to appease you? Did your own father demand that you skip meals and grovel on hard  concrete in the middle of the night to make him able to buy unnecessary and expensive gifts for you? Believer, how much more our Father in heaven? Christ says to us in Matthew 7:11-

"If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask Him?”

Make no mistakes, our heavenly Father corrects us but NEVER with death and its symptoms of sickness and lack or anything that Christ suffered and died to free us from. Hebrews 12 says of Him:

"If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all.9 Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever?
10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in His holiness. 11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way."

God's correction is unto life, so that we might be partakers of His holiness (we have none of ours) and so that we might live right - we can't do this on our own either.

Believer, by God's grace, don't let any "multitude" tell you that you first have to go and keep the law, fast and sow seed first before your own Father in heaven will freely provide what you need for you in Christ, including salvation from sins and all earthly ills.  Remember His heart towards those two blind men:

34 "So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him."

Believer, Christ has not and will never change. His heart of compassion beats for you today. His heart's delight is to see you blessed. Don't let antichrist pastors who tell you that God will only bless you based on your will-power at keeping the law, fasting and sowing seed stop you from freely receiving God's mercy and every blessing and restoration that He freely gives to us in Christ. Romans 8:32 says of Him:

"He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

FREELY, beloved of God. By His Grace, lets drop our baggage of laws kept, tithes paid and seeds sown towards getting God to bless and come to receive of His fullness empty of ourselves. In Christ, our heavenly Father fills us to overflowing so much that with what is spilling over, we can't but live right and be a blessing to those around us. In Christ, we get to love because we are invreasingly  aware of the love that He has for us. We get to freely give because we freely receive all things from God in Him. We get to live lives of moral excellence and give beyond the lawful regulation of the law tithe, yet not us but Christ in us, so we have nothing to boast about but Christ. This is why you will never hear a true believer boast about how God gave her a jet because she sowed her car. This "trade by barter" arrangement does NOT represent our heavenly Father's heart to we who are in Christ "at all, at all."

In Christ, we get to bear much fruit. He says so- John 15:5- “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

See The Passion Translation- “I am the sprouting Vine and you’re My branches. As you live in union with Me as your Source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from Me you are powerless."

Believer, godliness and holiness are fruits of being in Christ. These are the EVIDENCES of our salvation, not  CONDITIONS.

Right believing always produces right living.
