Righteous by faith

Believers, Christ has fulfilled all of the righteous demands that the Law made of us. As the righteousness of God in Christ, not standing in our own righteousness that comes from obeying the law (which are filthy rags,) but that which we receive as a gift in Christ (Romans 5:17 and 2 Corinthians 5:21,) our heavenly Father does not observe sin in us. He sees us as 100% righteous, even when we sin!

But His grace is not a license to sin!

God hates sin but loves the sinner, much like (but waaaaaaaaaay more than) a loving father who happens to be an oncologist hates the cancer in a beloved child. So what does He do? He fills us with the only effective sin "chemo" available to the world - His Spirit - by the hearing of faith! Other "therapies" (more laws, threats of judgment from the pulpit, rules and regulations, self-will and the determination to stop sinning, etc) can never work! Just check out what happened when Peter boasted in his own strength that he would never deny our Saviour. By our Lord's Spirit we are transformed to the image of His glory, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 3:18-

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Believers, our Abba Father's eyes burn at sin but radiate love for the sinner. The cancers of our sins are eliminated by His perfect love for us! We get to live right without knowing how or even being conscious of it, yet not us but Christ in us. When you go back to law-keeping in order to get right with God when Christ has made you righteous by His obedience (Romans 5:19), you get cut off from Christ according to Galatians 5:4.
"For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace"

Under the Law with no access to our Abba Father's Love radiation through Christ, the sins will just multiply, as Paul explained in Romans 7:

4 "So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. 5 When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death."

When one tries to keep the law in order to be righteous, the result is a harvest of sinful deeds!

With God's gift of righteousness comes no condemnation. It is our Lord's "Neither do I condemn you" that makes us "go and sin no more."

Believe Right and you will Live Right!
