Only with Christ as our righteousness do we have victory over sin and every ill.

Believers, let's take our blessed brains to church! If anyone preaches that you have to keep the Ten Commandments or do certain things (save believe Jesus) in order for you to "maintain your salvation," avoid God's wrath, be free from generational curses or receive His blessings after you are saved by grace, they are preaching the horrid mixture of law and grace- neither cold nor hot. There is a double curse on anyone who does this in Galatians 1:6-9.

With Christ, we don't get good to get God's blessings in Christ; we get Christ to get good. His Spirit transforms us to the image of His glory, from glory to glory. We get to live right and reign over sin. Our puny efforts at keeping the law cannot transform anybody. Isaiah calls these efforts "menstrual rags" in Isaiah 64:6.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that your sins are not that bad. James 2:10 says "For whosoever shall keep the whole law yet stumble at one point, he is guilty of all." aka: for those who think that their good works and ability to keep the law count for something with God, the one who only lied about his location for a good reason is as guilty and cursed as the child-molesting rapist murderous ritual killer.

See Paul's words in Galatians 3:1-5-

"Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of His death on the cross. 2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.3 How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?4 Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?

5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ."

A sermon on the message of Christ that Paul preached is written word for word in Acts 13:16-41 and this is the crux of it (v.38-39)-

38 “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through Him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses."

The finished work of Christ cannot be made manifest in the lives of those who believe that they can attain a smidgen of righteousness by keeping the law. Galatians 5:4 says "For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace."

Believing that you still have a part to play in your salvation (save believing Jesus and even this is by grace) by keeping the law in order to remain righteous is to deny the efficacy of the finished work of Christ in making you 100% righteous before God; it is to be neither cold nor hot. Our salvation from start to finish is by grace. See Ephesians 2:8-9-

"God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."

"Salvation" here is not just being saved to go to heaven; it is also deliverance from the molestation of enemies and redemption from all earthly ills - worry, anxiety, oppression, depression, lack, whatever it is that bugs you. It encompasses being saved from the pleasure, power and penalty sin! The word used in the original Greek translation of the New Testament is Swthria (pronounced soteria) and it encompasses all these definitions. That is our Jesus (Yeshua is Salvation in Hebrew!)

No one can be made right with God by keeping the law (Romans 3:20,) so the curse takes effect in the lives of those who believe such part-law/part-grace teachings. This is why many in the church are running from pillar to post, fearful of demonic attacks, oppressed, anxious and looking for salvation from generational curses and such that Christ died that we might have. Believers, let's not be found here. Stop doing and start believing. Be still and see the Salvation of the Lord.

It's got nothing to do with what we did or how good we are but all to do with what Christ has done; how much God loved us, "For God so loved the world...." In Christ, we GET TO do the good things God planned for us long ago.

Only with Christ as our righteousness do we have victory over sin and every ill. Without forsaking the old nature that seeks righteousness from law-keeping and becoming a new creation by receiving His gift of righteousness, sin will multiply. See Romans 7:4-5.

The Holy Spirit will teach you all things.

Believe Right and you will Live Right.
