Rest in Christ is Holy Spirit-directed activity!

Believers, rest in Christ is not inactivity. Rest in Christ is Holy Spirit-directed activity. With Christ as our Saviour to the uttermost, the thoughts of the Holy Spirit become our action. In Christ, we don't HAVE to live right; we GET to live right. We get to "produce a harvest of good deeds for God." (Romans 7:4.)

In Christ, we get to work out our salvation (do God's good pleasure and become free from sins, addiction, oppresson, sickness, all earthly ills.) We work out our salvation with worship and awe at our Lord God's goodness and mercy towards us, and we are able to do this only because He works in us the desire and the ability to do that which pleases Him, as it is written Philippians 2:12-13-

"12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."

This is Grace- undeserved, unmerited favour.

The Holy Spirit will teach you all things.

Believe Right and you will Live Right.
